Description

Apple cider vinegar is made from apple juice through two stages of fermentation, giving it its distinctive tangy flavour with a light apple note, it brings balance to salad dressings, sauces and marinades while lifting the flavour of rich dishes

For salad dressings: Whisk with olive oil, mustard, honey, salt and black pepper for leafy salads, cabbage slaw, potato salad or cooked vegetables
For meat and chicken marinades: Mix with oil, garlic, herbs and spices, its acidity helps tenderize the meat while adding flavour before grilling, roasting or pan-cooking
For quick refrigerator pickles: Mix with water, salt and a little sugar, then pour over sliced onions, cucumbers, carrots or radishes and leave them in the refrigerator to absorb the flavour
For sauces and gravies: Add a small splash near the end of cooking to balance rich, sweet or tomato-based sauces
For soups and legumes: Stir in a little before serving lentil soup, bean dishes or vegetable soups when they need a fresher finish
For braises and slow-cooked dishes: Add to recipes prepared with meat, cabbage, onions, carrots or potatoes to balance their rich flavour
For fruit preparations: Add a small splash to cooked apples, chutneys or sweet and tangy fruit sauces to balance their sweetness
For serving: Add gradually and taste between additions so it brightens the dish without taking over
